All-Purpose Floor Cleaner (Vinyl)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • ¼ cup rubbing alcohol
  • 30 drops liquid dish soap
  • 5–10 drops peppermint essential oil

This formula is headed “All purpose floor cleaner,” and the page notes “can use on vinyl.” It is distinct from Mother’s earlier floor-cleaning formula.

Flooring precautions

Vinegar, alcohol and essential oils may damage some finishes. Follow flooring manufacturer instructions and test before use. Do not mix with bleach. Essential oils can pose risks around pets.
