Apple Pie Squares
A holiday recipe contributed by Sherry Weed.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 sticks oleo (margarine)
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 jar chunky applesauce (jar size not specified)
- Cinnamon and sugar, to sprinkle
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cut flour, margarine, sugar, and baking soda together like pie crust.
- Pat half the mixture into a 9-by-13-inch cake pan.
- Spread chunky applesauce over the base. Pat the remaining mixture on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Bake at 375°F for 1 hour.
