Eggshell Calcium

The creator's multi-purpose eggshell powder notes, used in gardening, personal supplement practice and spiritual contexts.

Notebook preparation

  1. Clean eggshells with cold water to remove egg white, leaving the membrane.
  2. Boil the shells for 10 minutes.
  3. Leave to dry overnight.
  4. Grind in a coffee grinder until powdered.

Uses recorded by the creator

Gardening: She used approximately 1–2 tablespoons of ground eggshell as needed. Exact application method and plant types were not specified.

Spiritual: She used eggshell powder in spiritual practices including protective circles, cleansing, and other applications. These are recorded as her personal practices without assigning them to any particular tradition.

Personal supplement: The notebook states “1 tsp = 800 mg” and “use: ½ tsp powder 2× daily.” These are historical notes about her practice, not verified dosing or calcium-content measurements.

Important distinction about the supplement note

Homemade eggshell powder may have variable calcium content, particle size and contamination risks. Boiling and drying at home do not establish that a powder is safe to swallow, and the amount of elemental calcium in a spoonful cannot be reliably established from this notebook. This page archives the creator's practice; it does not recommend oral use or this dose. For calcium supplementation, a tested product with a labeled elemental-calcium amount is more reliable.

In gardening, eggshell fragments break down slowly, so adding them should not be assumed to provide an immediate plant calcium treatment.

Notebook provenance

This is a multi-purpose household practice the creator says she used for many things, not only a supplement. The quantities and procedure above reflect the handwritten notebook and her additional recollection.
