Family notebook notes

The recipe is titled “Goo Gone” in Mother’s notebook. She reported that it worked very well for sticky messes. The handwritten instructions read approximately: “For sticky messes smear a good amount; let 15 min; use scrubber then rinse.”

Surface care

Baking soda is mildly abrasive and the oils can leave residue or discolor porous, delicate, painted, or unfinished surfaces. Test an inconspicuous area before use, avoid screens and sensitive finishes, and remove all oily residue afterward. Lemon oil may irritate skin and may not be appropriate around pets; do not use on food-contact surfaces without thorough cleaning and rinsing. This is a homemade cleaning paste, not the commercial Goo Gone product.
