From Mother’s notebook · Crossed-out experiment
Mother’s Hair Loss Formula
Ingredients
- 3 oz Castile soap
- 4 drops jojoba oil
- 2 drops chamomile (form unspecified)
- 3 drops primrose (form unspecified)
- Apple cider vinegar, quantity and method unspecified (probably used with the shampoo)
Directions
- The note mentions pouring the shampoo, but does not clearly specify how the ingredients were combined.
- The last note appears to indicate using the preparation with apple cider vinegar three times per week. This is an interpretation, not a fully legible instruction.
Original notebook notes
Status: Crossed out. The reason the formula was rejected is unknown. The original title reads “Hair Loss.”
Handwriting: The ingredient amounts for chamomile and primrose were clarified by the family. The apple cider vinegar mention is believed to belong with the shampoo routine, but no amount is legible, and whether it was mixed into the shampoo or applied separately remains uncertain.
Formulation considerations
This is preserved as a historical experiment, not a recommendation or a demonstrated treatment for hair loss. Castile soap and acidic vinegar may react and separate, and essential oils or extracts must be identified and appropriately diluted before any skin use. The formula does not establish a safe preservative system or a verified shelf life. It should be reformulated and evaluated before practical use.
