Notebook details
This page from the second notebook is titled “Pet Stain Remover.” The entry names white vinegar and baking soda, but gives no measured quantities. The original method specifies covering the treated carpet and allowing it to dry for one to two days before vacuuming.
Carpet care
Vinegar and baking soda react and largely neutralize one another. Soaking carpet or covering it while damp can trap moisture in backing and padding; this original method is preserved as a family record, not a universal recommendation. Check carpet manufacturer instructions, avoid saturation, and ensure thorough drying.
