Soap Scum Cleaner

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Dawn dish soap
  • 1 cup vinegar (white vinegar specified in instructions)

Directions

  1. Place the cornstarch in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add the white vinegar and stir.
  3. The notebook says to microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a spray bottle and add the dish soap; shake gently.
  5. Spray on soap scum and let sit for 5–10 minutes.

This is a separate recipe on the lower half of the same page. The directions are handwritten tightly and the microwave duration appears to read two minutes.

Use note

Heating vinegar can create irritating fumes and hot liquid can burn; a microwave step is not recommended without a validated method. Vinegar can damage natural stone, grout and sensitive finishes. Do not combine with bleach.
