Scrumpcious Chocolate Cherry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate cake mix without pudding (do not add water)
  • 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie mix
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Frosting: 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons margarine
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup (6-ounce bag) chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-by-13-inch pan.
  2. Combine dry cake mix, cherry pie filling, almond extract and beaten eggs; pour into pan.
  3. Bake 30 minutes.
  4. Boil sugar, margarine and milk together for 1 minute; stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Frost cake while still warm.
